WHY ISN'T MY WEBSITE SHOWING THE CHANGES I JUST MADE ?

When your published website isn't showing your recent changes this is usually caused by your browser using a cached/outdated version of the site.  To fix this, try refreshing the page while holding down the shift key.

HOW DO I SETUP A DOMAIN REGISTERED EXTERNALLY?

HOW DO I CREATE PAGES OUTSIDE OF THE WEBSITE MENU (AKA. "HIDDEN PAGES") ?

To create hidden pages, click into the "pages" tab and set the page option "show in navigation" to "no".  Link to these pages by highlighting text in one of your top level pages and clicking on the "www" button that will appear in the toolbar above your website.  Select the appropriate page and press save.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A YOUTUBE VIDEO ?

To add video to your site, you should make sure it's uploaded to YouTube and then drag on the YouTube element onto your site.  To change the default YouTube video, click anywhere on the default video. 

Above your website, you should see the "element toolbar" appear.  In here, you should paste the YouTube URL for your chosen video (eg. http://youtube.com/watch?v=tBxBKIoTAkQ) and then
click your website background (don't click back on the video).

HOW CAN I PUT ELEMENTS NEXT TO EACH OTHER ?

Use the "2 column" element to place items side by side.  Just drag elements, such as pictures, text, or maps, INSIDE of the column of your choice.  See here for more detail.

HOW DO I CUSTOMIZE THE DESIGN & BACKGROUND ?

HOW DO I CREATE A LINK?

To create a link, first select the text you want to link .  This will cause the "element options" toolbar to appear above your site.  Click the "www" button to set the link.  See here for more detail.

HOW DO I UPLOAD A PICTURE?

To upload a picture, drag on an element that contains a picture.  After clicking on the default picture, you should see the "element options" toolbar appear above your website.  Then click the link to upload a new picture.  You can resize the picture by dragging the red box in the lower right hand corner of the picture.

Note that the picture and file upload tool uses the "flash" plug-in.  Your computers may not have flash installed.  You can check by visiting this link:  http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/ and if not, it's a free download and install.  

HOW DO I DELETE A WEBSITE ?

To delete a site, just click on the red x next to the site name on the dashboard/user home page.  However, if you just want to unpublish it and continue editing it, there is an option in the "settings" tab.

CAN I UPLOAD A FILE ?

Use the "file" element, located under the "multimedia" category to upload files to your website.  They will be available for download once your website is published.  If you are experiencing difficulties, please ensure that you have the latest version of flash installed by visiting: http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/
